This is really a fantastic book. The reproductions are printed in large formats and look really good. Most of them are on one page but there are a few that spread across both pages which, for me, heightened the dramatic impact and power of these paintings and didn't detract at all. I enjoyed learning about this artist as well from the beginning essay. I hadn't known very much about this artist before but I've always loved the work of Andrew Wyeth, and so I was fascinated to read about the connection between the two of them and also to see the influence that Andrew Wyeth had on Weymouth's work. I very much enjoy egg tempera paintings and this book made it possible to see some of the details and hatchings that Weymouth used in his work, so I heartily recommend it...especially to those who are fond of Andrew Wyeth and Egg Tempera painting.
