I purchased the 2018 resume guide last year and found it helpful in updating my resume during a job search, but felt it was lacking some concrete examples. I purchased the 2019 edition this year and am so happy Marc included actual resume examples to look at while he explains certain sections. This is definitely a step up from the 2018 version!
I’ve been dreading updating my resume but I knew it was something I needed to do and this book gave me the motivation I needed to get started. Easy to read in one sitting with useful information to refer back to in the future. I particularly liked the list of words to avoid using in your resume since I had 2 of them in my old resume I had to remove them asap!
Felt a little lost with where to start on my resume so I decided to give this guide a try. It made the resume writing process very approachable. I just started reworking my resume and I’m very happy with the results so far. Definitely recommend!

I’m so glad I did, it was an informative read that definitely calmed some job search nerves. The guide even had a whole section on how to handle gaps in your employment history, with specific examples!
This was an amazing book that took a much different approach than other resume writing books. The author does an amazing job and explaining the "how" and "why' your resume needs to be the way he suggests. The resume I had before this was in no way like the one he describes as best and after reading this book and re-writing my resume as I read it, I am now getting a lot more traction as I job hunt. I great read for everyone since you should always keep your resume up to date. I highly recommend!
Easy read, excellent advice in every short chapter. I was able to rewrite my resume in two days, a couple hours to read one day and a few hours to complete a beautiful resume to post. I kid you not, I had two interviews the very next day.If you're struggling with your resume, buy this book and knock it out.
